Rebecca Clarke: Sonata for Viola (1919)

Brett was part of MRM concert no. 1. Now he returns for no. 52!! If you've never heard of Rebecca Clarke, her music of a century ago is wonderful.


Concert 53: Sunday, January14

Clipper Erickson, piano, and Risë Erickson, handbells. 

Clipper returns for the fourth time. So does his wife Risë, but this time she leaves the audience and joins him as a performer on handbells.

Concert 54: Sunday, February 25

Ana Tsinadze, viola, and friends.

Chamber music tba. 

We all know Ana as the violist with the Maurice River String Quartet and for her solo recital a few years ago.

Concert 55: Sunday, March 11

Keith Calmes, guitar, and Selvaganesh Vinayakram, Indian drums.

Drummer Selvaganesh joins Keith here in New Jersey every spring to put together concerts merging Eastern and Western traditions.

Concert 56: Sunday, April 15

Norma Meyers, piano

“1918: the Death of Claude Debussy and the Birth of Leonard Bernstein”

Norma has played for MRM many times as a collaborator. Now she returns all by herself. Obviously, the program will be piano music by Debussy and Bernstein.

For first-timers: we'll give you our address and directions when you sign up for the first time. We are in the Mauricetown, NJ, area. Our audience comes from near and far, from five minutes to two hours distant. We are often fully subscribed, so don't wait until the last moment to try to sign up.

MRM is not a business. It is a music party during which we pass the hat to show our appreciation to the first rate professional artists. Jan and Paul keep none of that money.
